In the Olympics game they put more events: running, jumping, discus, throwing, wrestling, boxing, pankration, horse and chariot races, and the penthalon. The ancient Olympic Games came to an end in 393 AD, approximately 1000 years after they had first started.

  1. Hi Newsam,

It is great to see you online again! You have posted some really interesting information. In order to earn, please hop onto the Winter Learning Journey site and complete one of the activities. There are three activities to choose from for Day 1. The first activity asks you to choose a sport, the second asks you to learn about a man named 'Milo of Croton' and post facts about him and the third asks you to give us your opinion about the 'No Girls Allowed' rule. What do you think of it? Was it fair that only one gender (men) was permitted to participate in the ancient games?

I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts!

    Cheers, Rachel
