My learning
Today I learned to make scones with vinegar, L & P and sprite. Mrs Tofa gave us some ingredients and told us the instructions and then Mrs Tofa told us some amazing riddles. Afterwards we ate our delicious scones and the best one was L & P. I wish I can stay at room 10 because it was totally amazing in there and I had really fun!

Science Terminology
Today in room 7 Mrs Raj did a few scientific experiments. From this experiment I learned that ice, water and steam are all made of water and I also learned about the 3 states of matter, condensation and evaporation.
Scientific Terminology
1. Definition: Condensation
Water that collects as droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact with it.
2.Evaporation
Evaporation is a type of vaporization of a liquid that occurs from the surface of a liquid into a gaseous phase that is not saturated with the evaporating substance. The other type of vaporization is boiling which is characterized by bubbles of vapour forming in the liquid phrase.
3. 3 states of matter
States of Matter. Gases, liquids and solids are all made up of microscopic particles, but the behaviours of these particles differ in the three phases.
4.Ice
Frozen water, a brittle, transparent crystalline solid.: "The pipes were blocked with ice".
5.Water
A stretch or area of water, such as a river, sea, or lake.: "the lawns ran down to the water's edge".
6.Steam
The vapour into which water is converted when heated, forming a white mist of minute water droplets in the air.
7. Solid
Firm and stable in shape; not liquid or fluid.: "the stream was frozen solid" "solid fuels".
8. Gaseous
Of, relating to, or having the characteristics of a gas.: "gaseous emissions from motor vehicles" "gaseous oxygen".
9. Liquid
A liquid is a nearly incompressible fluid that conforms to the shape of its container but retains a (nearly) constant volume independent of pressure.
10.Water cycle
The cycle of processes by which water circulates between the earth's ocean atmosphere, and land, involving precipitation as rain and snow.

My writing recount!
A special time with my family!
On Saturday last year there was a birthday party at panmure. My family and I were relaxing for a bit in the car having some positive conversation and playing together because we want to just stay together before we go and play with our amazing, beautiful cousins.
Shortly afterwards my family and I went inside, But guess what we saw? A lot of colourful decorations with fake cars and a huge notebook to write a birthday note and in the inside it was really huge.We saw people and little sweet kids. My siblings and I went to the bouncy castle while my parents watch us smiling to us very sweet to us. Moments later there was heaps of balloons so my siblings and I went and got it really quickly. After that this beautiful music came up, but it was a remix by DJ Noiz. Later I saw a really gigantic cake with a big picture on top of it, but it was the birthday boy’s picture, it was really sweet and amazing. Next there was a race coming up for the little children that over 3 to 6 years old. After that some little children won the race. So the adults told us to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy and when we were done the adults gave us two packets of lollies that are very sweet and sour.
I felt very koa (which is maori for happy) because I got to relax to with my family and have some positive conversations and I got to go one the bouncy castle and watch the little kids race.
This is my Rubric.

The weekend recount!
My weekend recount
On Sunday, my family and I went to my aunt’s house. We had
lovely, delicious, Samoan food to celebrate my papa’s who just arrived from Samoa.
My cousins and my siblings were playing freeze tag and marco polo. Meanwhile my favourite movie came up on tv two and it was called Smurfs 2. The little kids loved watching the Smurfs, and the movie was
a little bit interesting. After that my little brother started playing with my cute baby cousin. They crawled, ran and laughed together which was very cute.
Afterwards, more people came, guess who? it was my other aunt and cousins, they were kind and even helpful. At the same time I was playing with my cousins. They were noisy and sometimes they got really cranky because they were really hungry.
Moments later we went to the shops to buy healthy vegetables at Pak 'n save. My mum bought heaps of food to make our lunch and also bought meat from Mad Butcher. Then we went back home to make food for our family and a couple of hours after eating, I was asleep on my bed dreaming.
My weekend was great, exciting and I was really full eating the food that my mum served to us. It was very exciting getting to play with my family members.
I love weekends!

My writing task!
WALT: use conjunctions to extend sentences.
SC: use conjunctions to add more detail to an idea.
You need to persuade the reader, explaining to them whether you agree or disagree with this statement
Give examples and explain why
Actions speak louder than words.
Actions speak louder than words because
if you say something nice like “I like your T-shirt”
and you make a angry face the other person wouldn’t feel that you didn’t mean it.
How you look: 55%
How you say it: 38%
What you say:7%
Respecting Property:If someone threw their jumper away you go pick it up and give it to him/her.
Respecting Others:I respect others by speaking nicely to them
and by doing the right things to other people.
Respecting Learning:If a person comes in class and then they see me
working independently, working hard and finishing my tasks.
Respecting Environment:If my teacher tells me to pick up the
rubbish and put it in the bin I have to do it straight away.
Respecting Self:If my teacher tells me to sit up nicely and fold my
legs I have listened what my teacher said and do it straight away
by respecting myself.
By doing these things I will show people that actions speaks louder than
words and by respecting these POLES, Property, Others, Learning, Environment,
and Self.
