Science Intensive: Rocket Experiment
Today we learnt about chemical reactions.
Method:
1. We stuck pencils to a bottle so the bottle can stand.
2. Our group had paper towel and put baking soda on top of it.
3. We poured in vinegar half way of the bottle.
4. We put the baking soda in the bottle and stuck the rubber bung.
5. Finally each group shakes their bottle and there was a really big " EXPLOSION!"
Explanation
The baking soda reacted with the vinegar the baking soda is a base, the vinegar is an acid. When they are combined, they react and carbon dioxide (agas) is released.
