Highlights of term 1!

Introduction
On term 1 it was amazing because I learnt a lot, I achieved my goals and I did important learning with my teacher.

Duffy Assembly
My important highlight of term 1 is the Duffy assembly. It is about reading and did you know that it is cool to read. Reading is important to people and you can learn from reading.

Swimming Pools
My next important highlight of term 1 is the Glen Innes swimming pools. We learnt some swimming skills and the swimming skills are back stroke, starfish and free style. If you learn swimming skills you can get better in swimming.

Ripper Rugby
The  last thing that I am going to write about is ripper rugby. You can get fit by running around. In ripper rugby you can learn forward pass or backward pass. You can learn skills about rugby.

Conclusion
I feel Amazing of term 1 because I learnt swimming skills, rugby skills and reading skills.

My Amazing Reading Response Journal!

Reading Response Journal

Title: Silent reading

Author: David Hill

Today I read about a girl who was returning books and two boys who were racing in the library

I feel upset about what I read today because two boys were running around a peace and quiet library and making too loud noises in the library

My favourite character was the two boys because they were screaming and got scared by a vacuum cleaner

I would feel happy if the same thing that happened to my character, happened to me because I am returning my library books that I have borrow

I think if the author decided to write another part to this story this is what will happen if the mum and uncle Joel would take the noisy kids at the zoo

The Amazing Duffy Assembly!

Duffy Assembly

Today Eli Tagi came to glenbrae school to talk about reading. The glenbrae students and teachers were listening to what Eli Tagi about his life. We did it in the glenbrae school hall. Eli Tagi inspired me with his reading.

Eli Tagi is Samoan and he was talking about is business about work. He wanted his children to read so they can get a good life. Eli Tagi loves to read chapters, history, comics and his favourite book called the magician. His favourite rugby team are blues, All blacks and the Manu Samoa. His first book he read was tintin.

I felt happy because Eli Tagi loves reading and he loves reading comics and chapters.

End: The little girl went up to the fish tank and put her whole arm inside. Suddenly her arm fell off. She started starring at her own arm inside the fish tank. Uncle Joel and mum hardly saw no kids and finally the library was peace and quiet.

My Coolest Reading Response Journal!!!

Title: Shelter from the wind

Author: Janice Marriott

Today I read about a boy who wanted to give flowers to his teacher from school.

I feel happy about what I read today because the boy gave the flower to the teacher and the teacher was calm and surprised.

My favourite character was the boy because he gave flowers to his teacher and helped his mum plant the flowers in their backyard.

I would feel calm if the same thing that happened to my character, happened to me because I am helping my mum planting the flowers and even mum is helping me to decorate the plastic bottle to pour the water and put the flower inside the plastic bottle.

I think if the author decided to write another part to this story this is what will happen if the teacher told every student in her class to talk about the pink, beautiful flower that the boy gave to her.

Ripper Rugby!!!

Ripper Rugby

On Thursday 31 march 2016, we went to the field to do ripper rugby. We did ripper rugby to learn ripper skills. Our coach was Matt and the room 10 students.

Coach Matt told us the full instructions of the game bullrush. Firstly we went into 2 groups yellow and white. We were getting ready for the game. There were only 6 or 5 people in. After that we got into 4 lines. We had to pass back to the other person. The game was a team who had the ball. The yellow team won and the white team lost.

I felt sad because the white team lost.
